How much do you charge for labour?
R650 per hour, quoted upfront before any work starts.
How much is a diagnostic?
R450. If you go ahead with the repair, the R450 is credited to your repair.
Do I pay for parts upfront?
Yes. Parts are quoted upfront and paid before we order them, so you always know the cost before anything arrives. Labour is R650/hour and is included in the written quote you approve.
What guarantee do you give?
Every repair carries a 3-month guarantee on parts and labour, as required by law.
Will I see what is wrong with my car?
Yes. Every fault is filmed and sent to your WhatsApp with a written quote. Nothing is done without your approval.
Do I get my old parts back?
Your old parts are offered back to you when you collect your car.
Do you work on all makes?
Yes, all makes. We do mechanical, electrical and body work on passenger cars and bakkies, petrol and diesel. Send us the make, model and year on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you come in.
Will servicing with you void my warranty?
In most cases, no. Under South Africa's Right to Repair guidelines (2021), you can have your car serviced and repaired at an independent workshop without voiding your new-car warranty. We keep a full written record of every job.
Are you open weekends?
Yes. We are open 7 days a week, 08:00 to 17:00, Saturdays and Sundays included. On Fridays we are closed from 12:00 to 14:00.
How fast do you reply?
Within 1 hour during working hours, on WhatsApp or by phone on 081 351 3239.
How can I pay?
We accept all payment methods: cash, EFT, card and mobile payments.
Do you collect and deliver?
Yes, anywhere in Johannesburg, at your cost depending on the area. WhatsApp us for a price.
Do you do panel beating?
Yes. We do mechanical, electrical and body work.
Do you work on e-hailing cars?
Yes. We know a car off the road is money lost, so we aim for fast turnaround, same-day where possible.
Do you work with car dealers?
Yes. We do fast reconditioning and pre-sale checks for dealers.
Can you give me a quote over WhatsApp?
Send us the make, model, year and what the car is doing. For most faults we need to diagnose the car first so the quote is accurate, and we send that quote with a video of the fault.
Who will I deal with?
AM AutoHaus is owner-run. You deal directly with the people fixing your car, not a call centre.
